देवा ऊचुः । कलिंगेन वयं देवि निरस्ताः संगरे मुहुः । तेन व्याप्तमिदं सर्वं त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम्
devā ūcuḥ | kaliṃgena vayaṃ devi nirastāḥ saṃgare muhuḥ | tena vyāptamidaṃ sarvaṃ trailokyaṃ sacarācaram
ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവീ, കലിംഗൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും തോൽപ്പിച്ച് പിന്തള്ളിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവനാൽ ഈ സമസ്ത ത്രിലോകം—ചരാചരസഹിതം—വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു।
