शुक्र उवाच । यदि तुष्टो महादेव विद्यां देहि महेश्वर । यया जीवंति संप्राप्ता मृत्युं संख्येपि जंतवः
śukra uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo mahādeva vidyāṃ dehi maheśvara | yayā jīvaṃti saṃprāptā mṛtyuṃ saṃkhyepi jaṃtavaḥ
ശുക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ മഹാദേവാ, ഹേ മഹേശ്വരാ! നിങ്ങൾ പ്രസന്നനാണെങ്കിൽ, മരണത്തെ പ്രാപിച്ച ജീവികളും വീണ്ടും ജീവിക്കുവാൻ ഇടയാക്കുന്ന ആ വിദ്യ എനിക്കു ദാനമരുളുക.
