नाहं देवि करिष्यामि हस्त्यश्वरथसंग्रहम् । यतस्तेषां भवेत्पुष्टिर्वित्तैर्वित्तं करैर्भवेत् । गृहीतैः सर्वलोकानां तस्मात्तन्न ममेप्सितम्
nāhaṃ devi kariṣyāmi hastyaśvarathasaṃgraham | yatasteṣāṃ bhavetpuṣṭirvittairvittaṃ karairbhavet | gṛhītaiḥ sarvalokānāṃ tasmāttanna mamepsitam
ഹേ ദേവീ, ഞാൻ ആനയും കുതിരയും രഥവും സമ്പാദിച്ച് കൂട്ടുകയില്ല; അവയുടെ പോഷണവും വളർച്ചയും ധനം ആവശ്യപ്പെടും, ആ ധനം സർവ്വജനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പിരിയുന്ന നികുതിയാൽ വരും. അതുകൊണ്ട് അത് എനിക്ക് അഭിലഷിതമല്ല.
