स चापि चतुरो वेदान्ब्रह्मचारिव्रते स्थितः । वेदांगैः सहितान्वृत्रः पपाठ गुरुवत्सलः
sa cāpi caturo vedānbrahmacārivrate sthitaḥ | vedāṃgaiḥ sahitānvṛtraḥ papāṭha guruvatsalaḥ
വൃത്രനും ബ്രഹ്മചര്യവ്രതത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ട്, ഗുരുവിനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹഭക്തിയോടെ, വേദാംഗങ്ങളോടുകൂടി നാലു വേദങ്ങളും പഠിച്ചു।
