यदाभीष्टं वरं तेन प्रार्थितस्त्रिपुरांतकः । तदैवं वचनं प्राह प्रणिपत्य मुहुर्मुहुः
yadābhīṣṭaṃ varaṃ tena prārthitastripurāṃtakaḥ | tadaivaṃ vacanaṃ prāha praṇipatya muhurmuhuḥ
അവൻ അഭീഷ്ടമായ വരം അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ത്രിപുരാന്തകൻ (ശിവൻ)നെ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവൻ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും നമസ്കരിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ വചനം പറഞ്ഞു।
