vyāghra uvāca | svāgataṃ tava kalyāṇi sudheno satyavādini | na hi satyavatāṃ kiṃcidaśubhaṃ vidyate kvacit
Vyāghra (the tiger)
Type: kshetra
Scene: The tiger speaks like a sage, greeting Sudhenū with reverence; the reversal of roles (predator as moral teacher) creates wonder and highlights the radiance of truth.
Satya is presented as a shield: truthfulness generates auspiciousness and wards off misfortune.
The teaching is embedded in the Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya; the tīrtha’s glory is expressed through dharmic exemplars rather than a named location in this verse.
No external ritual is prescribed; the verse prescribes a moral discipline—truthfulness.
