नंदिन्युवाच । परेषां प्राणयात्रार्थं तत्कर्तुं युज्यते शुभाः । आत्मप्राणहितार्थाय न साधूनां प्रशस्यते
naṃdinyuvāca | pareṣāṃ prāṇayātrārthaṃ tatkartuṃ yujyate śubhāḥ | ātmaprāṇahitārthāya na sādhūnāṃ praśasyate
നന്ദിനി പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ശുഭജനങ്ങളേ, മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രാണയാത്രയ്ക്കായി അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നത് യുക്തമാണ്. എന്നാൽ സ്വന്തം പ്രാണഹിതത്തിനായി മാത്രം ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി സജ്ജനന്മാരിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.
