तं शब्दं स महीपालः श्रुत्वा मूर्छामुपाविशत् । पतितश्च जले तस्मिन्पद्मं चादर्शनं गतम्

Transliteration

taṃ śabdaṃ sa mahīpālaḥ śrutvā mūrchāmupāviśat | patitaśca jale tasminpadmaṃ cādarśanaṃ gatam

Translation

ആ ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് രാജാവ് മൂർച്ചയിൽ വീണു; ആ ജലത്തിൽ പതിച്ച ഉടനെ ആ താമരയും ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് അപ്രത്യക്ഷമായി।
