मा वसिष्ठस्य पुत्राणामुपहासपदं गतः । प्रतिज्ञारहितो विप्र सत्यमेद्ब्रवीम्यहम्
mā vasiṣṭhasya putrāṇāmupahāsapadaṃ gataḥ | pratijñārahito vipra satyamedbravīmyaham
വസിഷ്ഠന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പരിഹാസപാത്രമായി ഞാൻ മാറരുതേ. ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, ഞാൻ സത്യം പറയുന്നു—പ്രതിജ്ഞയില്ലാത്തവനായി ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തപ്പെടരുത്.
