idaṃ purāṇamāyuṣyaṃ varṇānāṃ ca sukhāvaham | nirmitaṃ ṣaṇmukheneha niyataṃ sumahātmanā

ഈ പുരാണം ആയുസ്സ് വർധിപ്പിക്കുകയും എല്ലാ വർണങ്ങൾക്കും സുഖം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെ മഹാത്മാവായ ഷൺമുഖ ഭഗവാൻ ഇതിനെ രചിച്ച് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.
