प्राप्तो महेश्वरस्तस्य कोऽपि तत्र धनी द्रुतम् । तेनोक्तं प्रणिपत्योच्चैः करिष्यामि पवित्रकम्
prāpto maheśvarastasya ko'pi tatra dhanī drutam | tenoktaṃ praṇipatyoccaiḥ kariṣyāmi pavitrakam
അപ്പോൾ ഒരു ധനവാൻ വേഗത്തിൽ അവിടെ മഹേശ്വരൻ (ശിവൻ) അടുക്കൽ എത്തി. സാഷ്ടാംഗ നമസ്കാരം ചെയ്ത് ഉച്ചത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഞാൻ പവിത്രക വ്രതം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും.”
