एवं चिन्तयतस्तस्य प्रावृट्काल उपस्थितः । श्रावणस्यासिते पक्षे कर्कटस्थे दिवाकरे

evaṃ cintayatastasya prāvṛṭkāla upasthitaḥ | śrāvaṇasyāsite pakṣe karkaṭasthe divākare

ഇങ്ങനെ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ അവനടുത്തേക്ക് വർഷാകാലം എത്തി— ശ്രാവണ മാസത്തിലെ കൃഷ്ണപക്ഷത്തിൽ, സൂര്യൻ കർക്കടക രാശിയിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുമ്പോൾ।
