वृत्रोऽयं दारुणो युद्धे बलद्वयसमन्वितः । चत्वारश्चाग्रतो वेदाः पृष्ठतः सशरं धनुः
vṛtro'yaṃ dāruṇo yuddhe baladvayasamanvitaḥ | catvāraścāgrato vedāḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ saśaraṃ dhanuḥ
“ഈ വൃത്രൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അത്യന്തം ദാരുണൻ, ദ്വിവിധ ബലസമ്പന്നൻ; അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നാലു വേദങ്ങൾ, പിന്നിൽ അമ്പുകളോടുകൂടിയ ധനുസ്സുണ്ട്.”
