शोकार्णवे परिक्षिप्य मां सभार्यं वयोऽधिकम् । तन्मा पुत्रक भूयस्त्वमीदृक्कर्म करिष्यसि
śokārṇave parikṣipya māṃ sabhāryaṃ vayo'dhikam | tanmā putraka bhūyastvamīdṛkkarma kariṣyasi
“വയസ്സിൽ മുതിർന്ന എന്നെയും നിന്റെ മാതാവിനെയും നീ ശോകസമുദ്രത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിട്ടു. അതിനാൽ, പുത്രകാ! ഇനി ഇത്തരമൊരു പ്രവൃത്തി വീണ്ടും ചെയ്യരുത്.”
