सूत उवाच । असकृत्तेन संपृष्टः सकृद्ब्राह्मणसत्तमः । ततश्च कथयामास हास्यकारणमेव हि
sūta uvāca | asakṛttena saṃpṛṣṭaḥ sakṛdbrāhmaṇasattamaḥ | tataśca kathayāmāsa hāsyakāraṇameva hi
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവൻ ആവർത്തിച്ച് ചോദിച്ചതിനാൽ ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണോത്തമൻ ഒടുവിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു; തന്റെ പുഞ്ചിരിയുടെ കാരണമെന്തെന്നു തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞു।
