प्रष्टव्या च ततो माता तस्याश्चापि च या भवेत् । जननी चापि प्रष्टव्या तस्याश्चापि च या भवेत्
praṣṭavyā ca tato mātā tasyāścāpi ca yā bhavet | jananī cāpi praṣṭavyā tasyāścāpi ca yā bhavet
പിന്നീട് അവളുടെ മാതാവിനോട് ചോദിക്കണം; അവളുടെ മാതാവിന്റെ മാതാവിനോടും (നാനി) ചോദിക്കണം. അതുപോലെ മാതൃപരമ്പരയിലെ മുൻമാതാക്കളെയും ചോദിച്ച് മാതൃവംശം സൂക്ഷ്മമായി പരിശോധിക്കണം।
