सामवेदविदस्तस्य गृहस्थाश्रमधर्मिणः । पश्चिमे वयसि प्राप्ते कन्या जाता सुशोभना
sāmavedavidastasya gṛhasthāśramadharmiṇaḥ | paścime vayasi prāpte kanyā jātā suśobhanā
അവൻ സാമവേദജ്ഞനും ഗൃഹസ്ഥാശ്രമധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിഷ്ഠയുള്ളവനുമായിരുന്നു. വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവനു അത്യന്തം ശോഭയുള്ള ഒരു പുത്രി ജനിച്ചു.
