ahorātreṇa coktāni pramāṇe dvija sattamāḥ | ṣaḍbhirucchvāsaniśvāsaiḥ palamekaṃ pravartate

ഹേ ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരേ! കാലപ്രമാണം അഹോരാത്രി പ്രകാരവും പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ആറു ഉച്ഛ്വാസ-നിശ്വാസങ്ങളാൽ ഒരു പലം കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
