एतत्पुनर्महद्दुःखं यदाभीरी विगर्हिता । वेश्येव नष्टचारित्रा त्वयोढा बहुभर्तृका
etatpunarmahadduḥkhaṃ yadābhīrī vigarhitā | veśyeva naṣṭacāritrā tvayoḍhā bahubhartṛkā
എന്നാൽ ഇതിലും വലിയ ദുഃഖം ഇതാണ്: ആ ആഭീരീ സ്ത്രീ ഇപ്പോൾ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; വേശ്യയെപ്പോലെ അവളുടെ ചാരിത്ര്യം നശിച്ചതെന്ന് പറയുന്നു—നിനക്കു വിവാഹിതയായിട്ടും അവളെ ‘ബഹുഭർത്തൃക’ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു।
