सूत उवाच । दृष्ट्वा प्रतिष्ठितं लिंगं याज्ञवल्क्येन धीमता । स्वमातुः शुद्धिहेतोः स तन्नाम्ना लिंगमुत्तमम्
sūta uvāca | dṛṣṭvā pratiṣṭhitaṃ liṃgaṃ yājñavalkyena dhīmatā | svamātuḥ śuddhihetoḥ sa tannāmnā liṃgamuttamam
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ജ്ഞാനിയായ യാജ്ഞവൽക്ക്യൻ തന്റെ മാതാവിന്റെ ശുദ്ധിക്കായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ലിംഗം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അതേ നാമത്താൽ ആ ഉത്തമ ലിംഗത്തെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കി।
