Transliteration

vasiṣṭha uvāca | homadhenuriyaṃ rājannasmākaṃ kāmadohinī | adeyā gaurmahārāja sāmānyāpi dvijanmanām

Translation

വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ രാജാവേ, ഇത് നമ്മുടെ ഹോമധേനുവാണ്, ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്ന കാമധേനു. ഹേ മഹാരാജാ, ദ്വിജന്മാർക്കു സാധാരണ പശുവും പോലും ദാനമായി നൽകാൻ പാടില്ല.”
