ततः सत्यं वरं लब्ध्वा प्रसन्नवदना सती । मातुर्निवेदयामास तत्सर्वं कांत जल्पितम्
tataḥ satyaṃ varaṃ labdhvā prasannavadanā satī | māturnivedayāmāsa tatsarvaṃ kāṃta jalpitam
അപ്പോൾ സത്യമായ വരം ലഭിച്ച ആ സതി പ്രസന്നമുഖയായി; തന്റെ കാന്തൻ പറഞ്ഞതെല്ലാം മാതാവിനോട് ചെന്നു അറിയിച്ചു.
