श्रीशुकदेव उवाच । भावेन भावितमहातपसां मुनीनां तिष्ठन्ति तावदखिलानि तपःफलानि । यत्ते निकाशशरणाः पुरुषा न जातु पश्यंत्यसज्जनमुखानि सुखं तदेव

ശ്രീശുകദേവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാതപസ്വികളായ മുനിമാർ പവിത്രഭാവത്തിൽ ഭാവിതരായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നിടത്തോളം അവരുടെ തപസ്സിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഫലങ്ങളും ദൃഢമായി നിലനിൽക്കും. നിന്റെ സുഖം ഇതുതന്നെ—ശുദ്ധ വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ശരണം പ്രാപിച്ച പുരുഷന്മാർ ഒരിക്കലും ദുഷ്ടരുടെ മുഖം കാണേണ്ടിവരില്ല।
