अशक्तश्चलितुं स्थानादपि चैकं पदं क्वचित् । तेजो हीनोऽपि रौद्रेण चिन्तयामास वै ततः
aśaktaścalituṃ sthānādapi caikaṃ padaṃ kvacit | tejo hīno'pi raudreṇa cintayāmāsa vai tataḥ
അവൻ ആ സ്ഥാനത്തിൽ നിന്നു നീങ്ങുവാൻ പോലും അശക്തനായി, ഒരടി പോലും വെക്കാനായില്ല; തേജസ് ക്ഷീണിച്ചിട്ടും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രൗദ്രവേദനയിൽ അവൻ അപ്പോൾ അതിഗാഢമായി ചിന്തിച്ചു।
