ततः कदाचिदेकांते स्थितां तां शांडिलीं द्विजाः । बहिर्गते भर्तरि च तस्याः कार्येण केनचित्
tataḥ kadācidekāṃte sthitāṃ tāṃ śāṃḍilīṃ dvijāḥ | bahirgate bhartari ca tasyāḥ kāryeṇa kenacit
അതിനുശേഷം, ഹേ ദ്വിജന്മാരേ! ഒരിക്കൽ ശാണ്ഡിലി ഏകാന്തത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവ് ഏതോ കാര്യത്തിനായി പുറത്തുപോയിരുന്നു.
