ततः स प्रार्थयामास तदर्थं ब्राह्मणोत्तमान् । ममोपरि दयां कृत्वा क्रियतां भोः परिग्रहः
tataḥ sa prārthayāmāsa tadarthaṃ brāhmaṇottamān | mamopari dayāṃ kṛtvā kriyatāṃ bhoḥ parigrahaḥ
അപ്പോൾ അവൻ ആ കാര്യാർത്ഥം ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു— “മഹാശയന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു കരുണ കാണിച്ച് ദയാപൂർവ്വം ഈ ദാനം സ്വീകരിക്കണമേ।”
