तेषामपि च चत्वारि गोत्राण्युर गजाद्भयात् । गतानि तत्र यत्र स्युस्तानि पूर्वोद्भवानि च । चतुःषष्टिः स्थिता तत्र पुरे शेषा द्विजन्मनाम्
teṣāmapi ca catvāri gotrāṇyura gajādbhayāt | gatāni tatra yatra syustāni pūrvodbhavāni ca | catuḥṣaṣṭiḥ sthitā tatra pure śeṣā dvijanmanām
അവരിൽ നാലു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ഉരഗ-ഗജഭയത്താൽ അവിടെ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ എവിടെയൊക്കെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവോ അവിടേക്കു തന്നെ പോയി—അവ പൂർവോദ്ഭവ ഗോത്രങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. ശേഷിച്ച ചതുഷ്ഷഷ്ടി ദ്വിജഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ആ നഗരത്തിൽ തന്നെ നിലനിന്നു।
