सूत उवाच । एवं तत्र पुरे तेन भूभुजा सुमहात्मना । अष्टषष्टिं च संस्थाप्य गोत्राणां निर्वृतिः कृता
sūta uvāca | evaṃ tatra pure tena bhūbhujā sumahātmanā | aṣṭaṣaṣṭiṃ ca saṃsthāpya gotrāṇāṃ nirvṛtiḥ kṛtā
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ ആ നഗരത്തിൽ ആ മഹാത്മാവായ രാജാവ് വിധിപൂർവം അഷ്ടഷഷ്ടി ഗോത്രങ്ങളെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; ബ്രാഹ്മണകുലങ്ങൾക്ക് ശാന്തിയും അഭയവും വരുത്തി।
