तपसां च यदा प्राप्तिः सा शांतिरिति चोच्यते । सर्वेन्द्रियप्रसादश्च बुद्धेर्वै मरुतामपि

tapasāṃ ca yadā prāptiḥ sā śāṃtiriti cocyate | sarvendriyaprasādaśca buddhervai marutāmapi

തപസ്സിൽ നിന്നുള്ള സിദ്ധികൾ ലഭിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനെയും ‘ശാന്തി’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ എല്ലാ ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്കും പ്രസാദവും ബുദ്ധിക്കും നിർമ്മല ശാന്തിയും—പ്രാണവായുക്കളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലൂടെ—ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നു.
