mithilāyāṃ pravṛtto'bhūdbrāhmaṇasya niveśane | mithilāyāṃ purā puryāṃ brāhmaṇaḥ kauthumābhidhaḥ

പുരാതനകാലത്ത് മിഥിലാ നഗരത്തിൽ കൌഥുമൻ എന്നൊരു ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ തന്റെ തന്നെ വസതിയിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി താമസിച്ചിരുന്നു.
