अनेन विधिना कर्णो भास्करार्घ्यं प्रयच्छति । ततः सूर्यस्य पार्थासावात्मवद्वल्लभो मतः
anena vidhinā karṇo bhāskarārghyaṃ prayacchati | tataḥ sūryasya pārthāsāvātmavadvallabho mataḥ
ഈ വിധിപ്രകാരം കര്ണന് ഭാസ്കരനു അര്ഘ്യം അര്പ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് പൃഥാപുത്രനായ അവന് സൂര്യദേവന് സ്വാത്മസമമായി അതിപ്രിയനെന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
