न्यायेन दुर्लभं द्रव्यं देशे कालेपि वा पुनः । दानार्हौ देशकालौ तौ स्यातां श्रेष्ठौ न चान्यथा

Transliteration

nyāyena durlabhaṃ dravyaṃ deśe kālepi vā punaḥ | dānārhau deśakālau tau syātāṃ śreṣṭhau na cānyathā

Translation

ന്യായമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സമ്പാദിക്കാൻ ദുർലഭമായ ധനം—ദേശമോ കാലമോ കാരണം ആയാലും—അത് ദാനം ചെയ്താൽ ആ ദേശവും ആ കാലവും ദാനത്തിന് ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും യോഗ്യവും ആകുന്നു; അല്ലാതെ അല്ല.
