तेनापि किल धर्मेण उद्दिश्य किल किंचन । देयं तद्धर्मयुगिति शून्ये शून्यं फलं मतम्
tenāpi kila dharmeṇa uddiśya kila kiṃcana | deyaṃ taddharmayugiti śūnye śūnyaṃ phalaṃ matam
അത്തരം ധാർമ്മിക മാർഗ്ഗത്തിലൂടെയും, യുക്തമായ അർപ്പണോദ്ദേശവും ധർമ്മബുദ്ധിയും വെച്ച് എന്തെങ്കിലും ദാനം ചെയ്യണം; കാരണം ഉദ്ദേശം ശൂന്യമായാൽ ഫലവും ശൂന്യമെന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
