आत्मनस्तु समं किंचिद्विलोक्य सुदुर्मते । तदाकर्ण्य च सावज्ञं वचः शर्वो विसिष्मिये
ātmanastu samaṃ kiṃcidvilokya sudurmate | tadākarṇya ca sāvajñaṃ vacaḥ śarvo visiṣmiye
എന്നാൽ ശർവൻ (ശിവൻ)—ഹേ അതിദുർമതേ—സ്വയം സമമായ ഒന്നിനെ കണ്ടതുപോലെ, ആ അവജ്ഞാഭരിത വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് അതിശയത്തിൽ മുങ്ങി।
