हते च मारुतेनाशुगामिना नगदेवता । अपरिच्छिन्नतत्त्वार्था शैलपुत्र्यां न्यवेदयत्

വേഗഗാമിയായ മാരുതൻ അവനെ വധിച്ചപ്പോൾ, സംഭവത്തിന്റെ തത്ത്വാർത്ഥം ഗ്രഹിക്കാനാകാതെ പർവ്വതദേവത ശൈലപുത്രിയോട് ആ വൃത്താന്തം അറിയിച്ചു.
