आः पापं कृतमित्येव देहन्यासेऽकरोन्मतिम् । ततस्तं खेचरी वाणी प्राह मा मरणं कुरु
āḥ pāpaṃ kṛtamityeva dehanyāse'karonmatim | tatastaṃ khecarī vāṇī prāha mā maraṇaṃ kuru
“അയ്യോ, ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തു!” എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ച് അവൻ ദേഹത്യാഗത്തിന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ ആകാശഗതമായ ദിവ്യവാണി പറഞ്ഞു—“മരണം ചെയ്യരുത്.”
