स्कंद उवाच । पाद्मेकल्पे पुरावृत्ते मनोः स्वायंभुवेंतरे । अनावृष्टिरभूद्विप्र सर्वभूतप्रकंपिनी
skaṃda uvāca | pādmekalpe purāvṛtte manoḥ svāyaṃbhuveṃtare | anāvṛṣṭirabhūdvipra sarvabhūtaprakaṃpinī
സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിപ്ര, പുരാതനകാലത്ത് പദ്മകൽപ്പത്തിൽ, സ്വായംഭുവ മന്വന്തരത്തിൽ, സർവ്വജീവികളെയും നടുക്കുന്ന അനാവൃഷ്ടി ഉണ്ടായി।
