तया तु षष्टिहायिन्या पीडिताः प्राणिनोऽखिलाः । केचिदंबुधितीरेषु गिरिद्रोणीषु केचन
tayā tu ṣaṣṭihāyinyā pīḍitāḥ prāṇino'khilāḥ | kecidaṃbudhitīreṣu giridroṇīṣu kecana
ആ അറുപത് വർഷം നീണ്ട അനാവൃഷ്ടിയാൽ എല്ലാ ജീവികളും പീഡിതരായി. ചിലർ സമുദ്രതീരങ്ങളിൽ, ചിലർ പർവ്വത താഴ്വരകളിൽ പാർത്തു।
