त्वदेकपुत्रां हापुत्रकोऽत्र मां त्रायते पुरा । त्वदृते त्वद्गुणोर्म्याढ्ये पतितां शोकसागरे
tvadekaputrāṃ hāputrako'tra māṃ trāyate purā | tvadṛte tvadguṇormyāḍhye patitāṃ śokasāgare
“ഹാ പുത്രാ! നീയേ എന്റെ ഏകപുത്രൻ; നിന്നില്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ എന്നെ ആരാണ് രക്ഷിക്കുക? ഗുണതരംഗങ്ങളാൽ സമൃദ്ധനേ! ഞാൻ ശോകസാഗരത്തിൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു।”
