अधमानधमांस्त्यक्त्वा कुलमुत्कर्षतां नयेत् । उत्तमानुत्तमानेव गच्छेद्धीनांश्च वर्जयेत् । ब्राह्मणः श्रेष्ठतामेति प्रत्यवायेन शूद्रताम्
adhamānadhamāṃstyaktvā kulamutkarṣatāṃ nayet | uttamānuttamāneva gaccheddhīnāṃśca varjayet | brāhmaṇaḥ śreṣṭhatāmeti pratyavāyena śūdratām
അധമരും നീചരുമായ കൂട്ടുകെട്ട് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് സ്വന്തം കുലത്തെ ഉന്നതിയിലേക്കു നയിക്കണം. ഉത്തമരിൽ ഉത്തമരെയേ സമീപിക്കണം; ഹീനരെ ഒഴിവാക്കണം. ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ സദാചാരത്തിലൂടെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠത നേടുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അപചാരവും പതനവും മൂലം താഴ്ന്ന നിലയിലേക്കു വീഴുന്നു.
