सूत उवाच । इत्युक्त्वा वामदेवस्तु शिवयोगी महातपाः । अभिमंत्र्य ददौ भस्म घोराय ब्रह्मरक्षसे
sūta uvāca | ityuktvā vāmadevastu śivayogī mahātapāḥ | abhimaṃtrya dadau bhasma ghorāya brahmarakṣase
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട്, ശിവയോഗിയും മഹാതപസ്വിയും ആയ വാമദേവൻ മന്ത്രം ചൊല്ലി ഭസ്മം അഭിമന്ത്രിച്ച് ഘോര ബ്രഹ്മരാക്ഷസന് നൽകി.
