अतीतं वर्तमानं च स्मरामि च सृजाम्यहम् । तैर्विना चाहमेकस्तु मूकोऽधो जडवत्सदा
atītaṃ vartamānaṃ ca smarāmi ca sṛjāmyaham | tairvinā cāhamekastu mūko'dho jaḍavatsadā
ഞാൻ അതീതവും വർത്തമാനവും സ്മരിക്കുന്നു, സൃഷ്ടിയും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവ (വേദങ്ങൾ) ഇല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒരുവൻ മാത്രം എപ്പോഴും മൂകനായി, ഹീനനായി, ജഡംപോലെ ആകുന്നു।
