हव्यवाहमुखे सर्वे ते यास्यन्त्यविचारितम् । मातुस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा सर्वे चैव भुजङ्गमाः
havyavāhamukhe sarve te yāsyantyavicāritam | mātustadvacanaṃ śrutvā sarve caiva bhujaṅgamāḥ
മാതാവിന്റെ ആ വചനം കേട്ട ഉടനെ എല്ലാ ഭുജംഗങ്ങളും ഒരു നിമിഷം പോലും ആലോചിക്കാതെ ഹവ്യവാഹൻ (അഗ്നി)ന്റെ വായിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലാൻ നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടു।
