न स्थानं विद्यते किंचिद्यत्र विश्रम्यते क्षणम् । देवदानवयोस्तत्र युद्धं ज्ञात्वा सुदारुणम्
na sthānaṃ vidyate kiṃcidyatra viśramyate kṣaṇam | devadānavayostatra yuddhaṃ jñātvā sudāruṇam
അവിടെ ഒരു ക്ഷണം പോലും വിശ്രമിക്കുവാൻ യോജ്യമായ സ്ഥലമൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ദേവന്മാരും ദാനവന്മാരും തമ്മിലുള്ള ആ യുദ്ധം അത്യന്തം ഭീകരമാണെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞ് എല്ലാവരും വ്യാകുലരായി.
