शबर उवाच । नैवाहं कामये वित्तं न धान्यं वस्त्रमेव च । यो यस्यैवान्नमश्नाति स तस्याश्नाति किल्बिषम्
śabara uvāca | naivāhaṃ kāmaye vittaṃ na dhānyaṃ vastrameva ca | yo yasyaivānnamaśnāti sa tasyāśnāti kilbiṣam
ശബരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എനിക്ക് ധനവും വേണ്ട, ധാന്യവും വേണ്ട, വസ്ത്രവും പോലും വേണ്ട. ആരുടെ ആഹാരം ആരെങ്കിലും കഴിക്കുമോ, അവൻ സത്യത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പാപഭാഗം തന്നെയാണ് കഴിക്കുന്നത്।
