Transliteration

śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | kulikānvayasambhūto brāhmaṇo bhaktimāñchuciḥ | īkṣyāmīti raviṃ tatra tīrthe yātrākṛtodyamaḥ

Translation

ശ്രീ മാർകണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—കുലികാ വംശത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച, ഭക്തിസമ്പന്നനും ശുചിയുമായ ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ‘രവി (സൂര്യൻ) ദർശനം ചെയ്യും’ എന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച്, ആ തീർത്ഥത്തിൽ തീർത്ഥയാത്രയ്ക്കായി ഉത്സാഹത്തോടെ ഒരുങ്ങി।
