मार्कण्डेय उवाच । इति दुःखान्विता मूढा ताभ्यां निर्भर्त्सिता सती । तनुं त्यक्तुं मनश्चक्रे प्राप्य तीर्थान्तरं क्वचित्
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | iti duḥkhānvitā mūḍhā tābhyāṃ nirbhartsitā satī | tanuṃ tyaktuṃ manaścakre prāpya tīrthāntaraṃ kvacit
മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ ദുഃഖത്തിൽ ആകുലയായി, മോഹഗ്രസ്തയായി, അവരിരുവരാൽ കഠിനമായി ശാസിക്കപ്പെട്ട സതി, എവിടെയോ മറ്റൊരു തീർത്ഥത്തിലെത്തി ദേഹത്യാഗം ചെയ്യാൻ മനസ്സിൽ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു।
