दौर्हृदस्याप्रदानेन गर्भो दोषमवाप्नुयात् । वैरूप्यं मरणं वापि तस्मात्कार्यं प्रियं स्त्रियाः

Transliteration

daurhṛdasyāpradānena garbho doṣamavāpnuyāt | vairūpyaṃ maraṇaṃ vāpi tasmātkāryaṃ priyaṃ striyāḥ

Translation

ദൗർഹൃദം (ഗർഭിണിയുടെ ഹൃദയാകാംക്ഷ) നല്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ഗർഭം ദോഷം പ്രാപിക്കാം—വൈരൂപ്യമോ മരണവുമോ സംഭവിക്കാം. അതിനാൽ സ്ത്രീയ്ക്ക് പ്രിയവും ഹിതകരവും ആയതു യഥാശക്തി നൽകേണ്ടതാണ്।
