Transliteration

pravṛttiḥ sarvaśāstrāṇāṃ purāṇasyābhavattataḥ | kālenāgrahaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā purāṇasya tato muniḥ

Translation

ആ പുരാണത്തിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ എല്ലാ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളുടെയും പ്രവൃത്തി-വികാസം ഉദിച്ചു. പിന്നെ കാലക്രമത്തിൽ പുരാണം ശരിയായി ഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടാതിരുന്നതു കണ്ട മുനി അതിനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.
