It teaches that birth, status, attractiveness, and even heavenly pleasures arise as effects of karma and remain within saṃsāra; Shaiva Siddhanta emphasizes turning from these transient fruits toward Pati (Shiva) for liberation.
By highlighting the limits of karmic rewards (even Indra-like enjoyments), it indirectly points devotees to Saguna Shiva worship—Linga-upāsanā—as a purifying path that redirects desire from bhoga to grace (anugraha) and liberation.
A practical takeaway is to reduce attachment to karmic fruits and steady the mind in Shiva-oriented sādhanā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplative reflection on the impermanence of worldly lordship and pleasures.
